Your Nutrition Practice

One of my favorite concepts with nutrition is self experimentation. There are a few rules to being succesful with this tactic.

Step by Step

1: Create a baseline of consistent eating. To be most successful and accurate; weigh, measure and record everything. That way you know exactly what is going on.

2: After holding baseline for a few months with no changes in weight, body composition, etc. measure your current weight, body comp, inches, etc. (whatever you want to change)

3: Change only ONE variable in your eating habits

4: Maintain that one change for AT LEAST a month

5: Re-measure your weight, body comp, etc.

6: If nothing changes or you get negative feedback, discard the tactic and move on. If it works, sustain it until you reach a new baseline to try something new.

Once you start, keep learning and trying new things until you find what works

Nutrition is a practice. And done consistently well it will change and adapt to your current interests and needs. Eventually, becoming a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw on after years of practice that will serve you for the rest of your life. The sooner you get started the sooner it will benefit you and improve the quality of your life.
