How To Make A Cool Down Treat, That’s Also Good For You

This is a take on a Wendy’s Frosty. Usually, I’m pretty skeptical on any recipe that says it’s a healthier version of fast food or baked goods (paleo brownies, veggie crust pizza, etc.). I’m usually in the camp that if you’re craving something of that sort, there’s really no way around it.

You’re either going to give in to that craving and eat the real thing, or just move past the craving and eat something else!

But, this has changed my mind. My life, to be quite frank.

Especially now, in the summer. We all know it’s hot out, and this easy recipe will be sure to cool you down. As well as help you stay in your calories, whole foods, and macros!

Here’s the recipe:

-3/4 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

-10 to 15 ice cubes, (crushed or crush yourself with a hammer, I did, it’s more fun that way)

-1/2 tsp vanilla

-1 to 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

-1/3 of banana

-1 scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder (if you need a protein macronutrient boost to get you up to speed with the rest of your macros)

-Blend together

-Enjoy

As you can see, the only “dicey” ingredient is the cocoa powder. Don’t go overboard on that, and you’ll be okay!

If you try it, let me know how you like it. I love it.

Eat your heart out Wendy,
